We are Stuart and Jessie - a couple imperfectly pursuing God's will for our family.
Children: We wholeheartedly believe God sees children as a blessing (Psalm 127:3). We know first-hand that God's heart is for adoption (Ephesians 1:5). And we have also been convicted that pure and undefiled religion is to care for the orphans (James 1:27). For our family, the combination of those three facts has led us to pursue an international adoption.
Money: We are not a rich family, but we have been convicted about how we choose to handle the money God has given us stewardship over. For us that means no debt. So get ready for some fundraisers!
When it comes to where we're at, it can pretty much be summed up by Lincoln Brewster's song:
This is real life, this is real good,
sometimes I take it all for granted
even though I never should
There is real pain, there are real tears,
but the way my baby loves me somehow carries all these years,
...this is real life.
I hope a leave a legacy,
I hope that God is proud of me,
I hope I leave something good behind.
This is real life.
